The management has formed a Think-Tank, consisting of members within and outside of AscendersTech, which will share the knowledge acquired by them over the years. Besides chosen members, every Ascender will be expected to share their experience/knowledge in this platform.
Be it office, home, public events such as seminars, workshops, family functions, casual get-togethers – wherever an Ascender goes, he or she carries an image which should impress others on the vast and relevant knowledge gathered in terms of just about any subject. Economics, Business, Literature, Religion, and Politics to name a few.
This will be a 45 minute session starting at 3:00 pm every Saturday.
The first session was kick started successfully by Mr. PVR last Saturday where he spoke about “Project Management in Thirukkural”.
PVR managed to clearly define a project as an individual or collaborative enterprise, temporary in nature that is carefully planned to achieve a specific objective under constraints like time, resources and money.
Keeping this as the foundation of his talk, he pointed out a variety of the famed couplets from the total of 1330 couplets. Interestingly enough, the Thirukkural (or the Kural) is a collection of 1330 Tamil couplets organized into 133 chapters. Each chapter has a specific subject ranging from “ploughing a piece of land” to “ruling a country”, indeed, even project management!
The Thirukkural preaches simplicity and truth throughout its verses and PVR was able to drive home a few, solid project management truths such as thinking deeply before taking a decision and then not stepping back, prioritizing and execution etc.
